Lisa Aschmann
Dear Ron,
Thank you so much for letting me hear your new cd. It's gorgeous, top to bottom, Ron. I suppose I especially liked the ones about Peanut Johnson and Jackie Mitchell and the Bloomer girls for feminist reasons, but all of them were acutely socially conscious, telling stories that needed to be told about the history of America, not just of baseball. The thing that struck me was the wonderful heart and soul you put into these songs, that you displayed of your own heart and soul. Ron, it's an honor to know you. It's not just a wonderful project, musically and lyrically, but it's a wonderful, caring soul that motivated these sweet, empathetic peeks into other people's souls . You touched mine. Thank you. Love and respect, Lisa Aschmann

Hey Ron,
I've meant to write for weeks and tell you how much I've enjoyed
your Wild Pitch CD. I love the songs, all great stories and
performances. I like the fiddle and mandolin especially. Nice to hear
the harmony vocals too. Good work.

Ron Pandy hits the spot with his niche in the music world. A combination of storytelling and interesting instrumentation, with nuggets of historical advancements interweaved into the music. Ron is truly a musician I will never get tired of. With each song, I learn more about the intersection of music, baseball, and American history like I’ve never known before. He is a treasure in the world of songwriting. His ability to write songs intertwined with such interesting aspects of history is so profound and stellar that his artistry becomes universal. It is smart, clever, and ingenious in its songwriting and production quality while also being direct in portraying the message and historical storytelling it intended to deliver. The aspects of instrumentation coyly matches up with the theme of the lyrics. The solos in each instrument add a melodic quirk to each measure of call-and-response. He manages to capture you with a captivating tale of American history mixed with social commentary. Every song from him is like a new chapter in a history book- the bible of American baseball intersecting with quaint, and interesting social commentary as well as moral quips and lessons to take away from. He manages to capture you with a captivating tale of American history mixed with social commentary. Review World

Song Dog Reviews
Ron Pandy’s cassette is a collection of songs that define the Southwest flavor, aptly portraying the subtle nuances of living in a desert town.
3 songs were cowritten with Stefan George who recorded Ron at his Round Up of Fun Recording Studio. Stefan plays guitar, bass, mandolin, cabasa and adds harmony vocals. State fiddle champ Gail Gowing joins up with Neil Harry’s pedal steel guitar and “Uncle Dave” Jeffrey’s drums, congas and vibes to produce a unique Spanish country sound.

Commonfolk 1994
Tucson songwriter and performance artist Ron Pandy has released a new cassette, aptly titled Commonfolk, a good follow-up to his tape Songdog. It includes Ron’s own songs about soup, chili peppers, screen doors, music, women and sports and the everyday details of good and bad relationships. Several local luminaries lend a hand on guitars and harmony vocals. With friends like Stefan George, Earl Edmonson, Emmy Creigh, Sal Valdiva, Art Kershaw and Trisha Campie, this a must own cassette. Kids will love Hot Chili Peppers, and Kitchen Rag will appeal to all local music lovers. Local references permeate this tape. It's full of fun and nostalgia (Motorola), sadness and touching humor.
